RMIT’s campaign “Your passport to what’s next” was adapted for the mainland Chinese audience, aiming to convey the university’s empowering, future-focused message through dynamic visuals and personalised storytelling.
The Challenge
The creative team faced language barriers, as no one spoke Chinese. The campaign had to be reimagined to resonate with the mainland Chinese audience while maintaining RMIT's empowering message, with a focus on adapting the narrative for translation challenges.
The Solution
The campaign was reworked to emphasise the excitement of hands-on learning at RMIT and the discovery of Melbourne, with vibrant duo-tone treatments, kinetic typography, and supporting iconography.
